This how long my hair is at the moment.
When I straightened I used an electrical pressing comb and flat iron: Temp 300 degrees.

 I am so happy with my hair its strong, I shed a lot less. Going back to natural hair was one of the best choices I've ever made in my short twenty years! My hair has re-thickened from my terrible perm incident I had almost five years ago. KEEP GROWING FOR ME CURLIES!!

Did you know that if you heat up your conditioner "first", then apply for at least 30 minutes. It will give you super soft hair! A must try...

This chart really helped me when it came to sealing. I was using thinner oils like olive oil. I should have been using "butters" because of my coarse hair.

Foods for healthier hair

FlatTwist pinup on medium length 4c hair

This is a protective style.
NOTE: It is only a protective style if the ends of your hair are tucked away.

-I started on washed, conditioned and detangled hair.

- Separate your bangs and pin them out the way

- starting at the edges just in front of your left/right ear flat twist all of the hair on that side. Do the same on the other side of the head.

-Tuck and pin the ends of the two flat twists at the nape of your neck (above where your spine starts)

- Part your bangs horizontally into two sections. Flat twist them each until you cant twist anymore. Pin and tuck into the flat twist you did just in front of the ear.

DONE! An easy five minute protective style. Until next time ladies and gents STAY Natural!

Two Strand Twist-OUT

 

Hello all! So a few days ago I decided I would two strand twist my hair and see how it came out. Well as you can see, it came out very defined and laid exactly the way I wanted it to. I decided where I wanted my part to be and started twisting.

When twisting you have to twist the hair in the direction you want it to lay. The twists near my edges I flat twisted (to the scalp) to make them lay properly.

Note: When twisting your hair you need to make sure you hair is moisturized to get the proper outcome.
                                      The LOCK & SEAL Method  -Apply to each twist
                         1.) Water
                          2.) Cream base (leave in lotion)
                          3.) Oil (to seal your ends)

At Night I wore a SATIN CAP to protect my hair from frizz, dryness, and breakage. You can buy one at the dollar store, beauty supply etc.
The next day:
I rubbed a very small portion of Jamaican black castor oil on my hands, mainly at the finger tips, and began Un-twisting. A few of the pieces were a bit to chunky so I just split them into two's or three's to add some volume and then pick it out. At night you could throw on your satin cap and rock it the next day!
