The SATIN Cap

Hello! Hey! Hi! How yuh doin? Did you know wearing a satin scarf or bonnet to bed at night will protect your strands and retain moisture. It will help your curls stay shinny and protect you from split ends. Love to accesorize? Beanies and hats tend to play a big role during winter days. Type 4 hair can easily tangle into fabrics such as cotton or yarn and dry out your moisture you took all morning to apply. While wearing your beanies wear your satin scarf or cap underneath. Satin is a very soft fabric, so pin your headwear down so you dont have any embarrassing moments when your out and about. Until next time Ladies andGents...Stay natural!

Dusting your ends!!

Clean up time? Every so often we all must clip our ends to get rid of split ends. There is a new term I just learned, Dusting. No not dusting the book shelf, but dusting the ends of your hair strands.
Step 1: Get a pair of HAIR scissors, that's very important for the safety of your hair. Using your basic household scissors can damage your ends even more.

Step 2:  Section your hair and two strand twist your hair until you reach the ends. If the ends don't curl and lock into it self usually the thinner part should be snipped.

Step 3. Take your Hair scissors and snip the end of your two strand twist continue all around the head (ONLY IF NEEDED )
DONE!!                                                                            Enjoy your happy, healthy hair! Until next time Ladies and Gents...Stay Natural!! <3

Trying SULFATE FREE Shampoo (Organix)

Hey! So, Ive been trying the co-wash method and Ive have my pros and cons. First off, what is co-washing? Co-washing is a mixture of essential oil, (olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, argon oil what ever you prefer) and conditioner. Shampoo is not used, some people use other shampoos or soaps like African black soap or a mud wash to cleanse the scalp.

Co-wash Pros: My hair is constantly moisturized and easy to detangle by hand or comb.
Co-wash Cons: Build up on the Scalp after a while from using product in my hair. (NOT dandruff. Dandruff is dry scalp.)

These two products are by Organix aka Ogx. These shampoos are each sulfate free and smell pretty nice. Im leaning more towards the "thick and full" to help with my problem area (Crown). They are 13fl oz. and were  each $5.74  from Walmart. They have plenty of choices to choose from they blew me away with the amount of product they had on one shelf just by this company. So have fun trying these new products with me. If you have used these products leave a comment and give your opinion. Until Next time Ladies and Gents stay natural!

Two strand twist review Day 5

Hello! Hellooo there! So I'm enjoying my DIY two strand twists. I'm on day 5 and they are fully moisturized and bouncy. My crown row are starting to look a bit frizzy so ill be re-twisting them soon. I use Cantu Shea butter's "grow strong strengthening treatment" and water in the morning to keep my hair happy. I originally planned to keep them in for two weeks but from what I'm seeing, that might not happen. I'll keep you all updated on my hair and its mood. Until next time Ladies and Gents DONT FORGET TO COMMENT <3

What you need to know about type 4 hair.

Information from www.Blacknaps.org
The type 4 hair patterns range from a spiral curl to a tighter curl with almost no definition. For us kinkier queens we don't have very much space between our curls. Our pattern is very tight and open to hair breakage and dryness. 4b and 4c hair don't hold water very well, because of all the bends and turns we have, make it that much hard for moisture to glide down our hair strands. To keep moisture in try protective styling such as buns, braids, and twists. Protective styling is focusing on hiding the ends of your hair and little manipulation of your hair. Our hair has a cotton texture to it and can look dry when its already moisturized. All curly hair types benefit from a moisture rich regimen. Washing and conditioning (or CO-WASHING/PRE-POO) your hair once a week is a good rule to remember (in colder temperatures. Doing protective styles, balancing protein products and moisturizing  products, and trimming as needed will improve or maintain the health of your hair. Remember no two heads of hair are alike. Leave combs and brushes alone for a while, try finger de-tangling. Its time consuming but better when it comes to having fragile hair. I hope I helped you guys out.
PS: If I left anything out that others should know LEAVE A COMMENT <3

My DIY Two Strand Twists

After a good Co-wash and Deep Treatment hair masque by Cantu Shea butter I let my hair air dry with a
T-shirt until it was 80% dry. Every twist I applied a spritz of Anunaturals  (Just water lock and seal kit) and a generous amount of Cantu Shea butter's ( Grow strong strengthening treatment  ). This was my second time trying to do this on my own. It took me almost 4 hours but of course I took a few breaks in between. You can follow Anunaturals on intagram @Anunaturals I won a little raffle with them and they sent it to me in the mail I use it every morning <3
